I think cursive writing is still an important skill whether or not it is considered “old school” nowadays. To be able to read it would be particularly important, even if one doesn’t use it very often in daily life. And to be able to pen a handwritten note in cursive will become an even more valued commodity as a means to show a greater depth of thoughtfulness and consideration as technology becomes the norm. Cursive, handwritten notes will be prized and valued as rare and unique.
